As with most parents, when we see Margaret doing something dangerous - like standing on her high chair as if preparing to do a swan dive - we tell her to be careful. She knows when those occasions are, too - she's taken to saying it preemptively when she does something dangerous, except she pronounces it "babu".

Recently, though, she's gone one step further. On last week's grocery shopping trip, when I used heel and toe technique to go around a traffic island more quickly, I heard, "babu, babu!"
